About King Stur Gav

Founded in the mid-1970s by legendary deejay U-Roy (Ewart Beckford), also known as 'Daddy U-Roy,' after King Tubby's sound system was destroyed by police. Also called 'King Sterograph' or 'Daddy Roy's King Sturgav Hi Fi.' The sound featured a legendary roster including Brigadier Jerry, Josey Wales, Charlie Chaplin, General Trees, Echo Minott, Little John, and Anthony Johnson. King Stur Gav continued touring into the 2000s and beyond.
