About Pow Pow Movement
Founded in 1990 in Cologne, Germany by selector Ingo Rheinbay and MC Backra. The name 'Pow Pow' means two gunshots - a salute in Jamaican dancehalls. One of the oldest reggae/dancehall sound systems in Germany. First continental European sound system to participate in World Clash (New York, 2000). Voted best German sound system by Riddim magazine (2003, 2004, 2005). Launched the career of reggae artist Gentleman, who was an early member. Has had permanent residency at Cologne club Petit Prince since 1995.
