About David Rodigan
Born in 1951, David 'Ram Jam' Rodigan MBE OD is Britain's foremost reggae selector with over 46 years in the culture. Starting his radio career in 1978, he has hosted shows on Capital, Kiss 100, BBC Radio 1Xtra, and BBC Radio 2. Despite being primarily known as a broadcaster, Rodigan proved his clash credentials by winning the World Clash in 2012, defeating sounds from Jamaica and around the world. He has been awarded an MBE for services to broadcasting and Jamaica's Order of Distinction for his contribution to reggae music.
