Dynamq

Founded by Kennedy Ongele 'Dynamq' Lorya, a South Sudanese refugee who grew up in Kenya's Kakuma refugee camp where he discovered Jamaican music. Known as the 'River Nile Crocodile,' Dynamq relocated to the United States (Erie, PA then Kansas City, MO) and built one of the most formidable one-man sound systems in modern clash history. In 2023, he became the first African to win the Reggae Sumfest Global Sound Clash, defeating Bass Odyssey and other Jamaican sounds. His rise represents the global spread of sound system culture beyond its Caribbean roots.
