Founded in 1971 by Anthony 'Tony Screw' Rookwood in Brooklyn, New York, originally as 'Downbeat Internationally.' Named in honor of Sir Coxsone Dodd, Tony Screw's musical mentor. The most enduring sound system in New York City reggae history, celebrating 50+ years in operation. Hosted legendary artists Early B, Little John, Toyan, Tiger, Ninjaman, and Shabba Ranks. Launched the NY careers of Shinehead, Louie Ranking, Sister Carol, and Santa Ranking.
